Full Review: This is a fast, appealing adventure, a bit too mature to be a juvenile but still having the aspects of a straigh-forward plot, and young protagonists. Charlie and his friends are appealing, capable but flawed, inexperienced but quick to learn.
The fantastic elements are fairly minor, and mostly serve as an avenue for adventure. The pacing is good, and the only obvious detraction is the flatness of the villains.
In general, this is a fun, easy entertainment, that's sure to please, albeit unlikely to introduce new ideas.
Overall: 6; Plot: 5; Characters: 5.5; Style: 5.5; World-building: 5; Originality: 5;
