A lightweight, sometimes witty comedy of manners, this pleasant confection has misunderstandings, thwarted love, and homocidal drunks.

Synopsis: Bertie Wooster, a well-bred, rich, well-meaning but not overly bright or ambitious finds his "Gentleman's Gentleman", Jeeves, well-nigh irreplacable. Jeeves unprecedented competence, makes Bertie's life much easier, despite Jeeves' occasionally intrusive condescention.

Nonetheless, when Jeeves issues an ulimatum regarding Bertie's continuing practice on the banjole, Bertie sticks to his guns. Soon, Jeeves has departed for another employ, and Bertie leaves for the country.

Of course, that's where Bertie runs into Jeeves again. Jeeves new employer is Bertie's friend "Chuffy", and it takes all of Bertie's ingenuity, and of course even more of Jeeves, to straighten out Chuffy's star-crossed romance.

Full Review: Witty, light and occasionally farcical, this comedy is very successful in entertaing the reader. The colorful, and exaggerated characters, the well-meaning, non too bright but still very appealing Bertie, and occasionally overly smug Jeeves himself make for a lively entertainment.
