Synopsis: Set about 60 years in the future, not much has changed in this somewhat superficial portrayal of the New York City.

When a young woman falls from a building, the presence of drugs in her body reveals foul play. Police investigator Eve Dallas is called on to find the murderer who seduced and then killed the victim with potent and very dangerous aphrodisiacs.

As Dallas closes in on a wealthy and very resourceful killer, more victims fall pray to what appears a ruthless game.

Full Review: As in the previous installments, the mystery is not very deep. However, the likable heroine, almost super-competent but vulnerable still provides an intriguing central theme for this adventure. Dallas's reaction to her implausibly perfect husband Roarke is predictable, as are humorous and romantic antics of her assistant Peabody.

For readers enjoying light-weight entertainment with some humor and quite a bit of romance, this book is recommended, as are its predecessors.
