Predictable and implausible, this book has decent passionate scenes, but falls down on plot and character interaction.

Genre: Romance
Synopsis: Sarah Harper has long been in love with Rome Matthews, an executive in her company. She has kept her love a secret—first, when Rome married Sarah's best friend, and later, after a devastating tragedy left Rome alone and made him abhor any emotional attachment.
Lust and years of friendship, however, bring Rome close. Can the two find happiness with the shadow of loss haunting Rome?
Full Review: A few scenes of passion and a generally likable heroine enliven this formulaic romance. However, most of the plot is very predictable, and the interaction of the main characters seem both artificial and devoid of true life or humor. Unfortunately, the good aspects of the book are not enough to carry the load of otherwise unexciting narrative.
Overall: 4; Plot: 3.5; Characters: 4; Style: 4.5; World-building: 4.5; Originality: 4.5;
