A planet-hopping mystery, this novel has plenty of adventure, an uneasy romance and a mustache-twirling villain, for a satisfying if not overly deep read.

Synopsis: Asahel Frost was once a priveleged member of the corporate elite. His violent disagreements with his father, combined with the machinations of his adversaries, resulted to his exile to a vacation planet. Under a new alias, he became a happy-go-lucky captain of a charter vessel, generally content with his life. A deadly attempt on his life bring him back to the cutthroat politics of corporate warfare, and he once more steps in to discover who is threatening him and his relatives. Teamed up with an attractive but distrustful investigator, and temporarily reinstated to authority, he comes against a deadly conspiracy.
Full Review: This is a fun, danger-filled adventure, with plenty of shooting, investigation and snappy dialogue. Enjoyable and polished, it has few deep insights, but its combination of humor, danger, excellent pacing and a hint of romance result in a satifying reading experience.
