Predictable and unrealistic, this conventional romance is lighthearted and doeasn't take itself too seriously, and thus provides mild, undemanding entertainment one expects.

Synopsis: When Babs Malone, a young woman of considerable wealth, is kidnapped, Sam Delanian helps to find her, motivated by the promise of a fifty-thousand dollar reward. However, he gets quite puzzled when Babs' family seems strangely reluctant to get her back.
Things get even trickier when the kidnappers appear strangely uninterested in ransom money.
Full Review: In this superficial romance, the mystery is fairly thin, and the characters are both predictable and unrealistic. However, one feels that this is exactly what the author set out to do.
The plot moves quickly, the style is smooth and competent. The protagonists are stereotypical: the plucky, prickly girl with hidden loneliness, and the strong, assertive man captivated by the heroine but fighting the attraction. Despite this predictability, the characters are likable, and the lighthearted, humorous plot provides little opportunity for boredom.
This book is comparable to a sugary confection—little nutritional value, but enjoyable when one's in the mood for a snack.
