Synopsis: Alexandra Cooper, an attorney heading the sex crime department at the Manhattan Distric Attorney's office, is called in when a prominent neurosurgeon is found rape and fatally injured. As the victim's death makes the crime a murder, Alex and her colleagues in NYPD investigate the circumstances of the attack. All too many suspicious characters had the opportunity, from psych. patients to doctors with grudges.
Full Review: In the second adventure of Alex Cooper, the interplay with others remain fresh and engaging, and the methodical investigation of the case, sometimes with red herrings and moments of danger, proves solidly enjoyable.
A fast, enjoyable read, with characters that while sometimes frustrating remain sympathetic and interesting.
