An uneven, but generally excellent collection of stories.

Synopsis: This is a collection of stories about familiars—those animals who by legend associate with witches and allow them to practice their powers.

Full Review: As with all collections, the stories are uneve in quality, as well as other aspects. Some are short, some quite long; some are humorous and other poignant. Some take place in a classic, medievalesque setting, and others take place in contemporary America. One is even Science Fiction.

Most are very good, and a few are excellent indeed. A solid collection, providing both entertainment and a showcase for its participants' talents.
